My goal is to get a head shot on a long beard. I have a bunch of ping pong balls I'm going to string up in front of my target so they can have so movement while I practice shooting them. However, if the head shot isn't there then the body shot will be just fine for my first turkey bow kill.
I have an out of town training (Indianapolis) I have to attend for a few days during turkey season, so I'll have my shotgun in the blind in case I can't get one in range for my bow. Also in case I get the chance to run and gun.

I'd want to use something like this for a head shot: Xecutioner Turkey pointI took my first bird with the x-bow and the same mechanical broadhead I used for deer. Just like a deer, draw a line thru the target so the broadhead hits heart/lungs and it dies. I don't buy into the hype that you need a special broadhead if you are going to body shoot them.

There’s also the magnus bullhead for head shots.
