Picked this dude up to have some fun with the grandsons. It has turned into a good little history lesson for them on how Ruger built the company starting with the improvement of the Nambo pistol to develop the first "Standard" 22 pistol. I sold my old MK1 back in the 70's and I wish I had it back just to show the boys the improvements. For now I have a cheap Barska on the Lite and I find that the gun shoots way better than me. I'm going to play around with some different optic options! The take down or disassembly is way cool! Amazingly simple! I'm really falling in love with this plinker!

I have a Mk. III target model, and after taking it apart one time, it'll have to be absolutely necessary before I break it down again.
Glad that they made the changes in the Mk IV.
That's a good looking plinker.

Almost the exact same set up my dad just picked up at a auction last week but its black.

I'm still in the process of playing around with different sights and optics on this pistol. For the heck of it I topped it with this cheap CenterPoint: OK, I think it looks pretty goofy! Guys at the range got a good laugh and said it was downright stupid. But they couldn't argue with the accuracy out of a "Wally World Pellet Gun Sight" as one of them coined it! As you can probably tell, It started out a little low and left and a few clicks later she was dialed in!

Been kicking around the idea of getting one for rabbit hunting behind the dogs. Give me a reason to shoot knowing I probably won't hit anything and also light enough to carry if coyotes come in on the dogs.

HCG..... my son has one , I shoot it more than he does, they are a blast. I have the MK IV and love that thing, it has a very good trigger and very accurate. Like you I had a MK I and sold it, wish I had it back.
Span870 you wouldn't regret getting one if you did. They are a Blast
