Deer season finally over this weekend. Headed home from work. Looks like some decent weather this week. Load up a half dozen fat cur dogs and see if we can find a hog or two. They have been up for most of last 2 months so who knows.

Hugedogleg, is Texas still trying out the poison thing on the hogs? I think that is where you said you live

No. They talked about it but there were too many concerns about the environmental impact of might have on other species.

Dang hunted all day today and only caught one boar hog about 160lb. Rained hard last night and I think that helped them hogs out. We going in the morning and hopefully put a hurt on them.

Yeah we tore them up. Mostly big sows. Filled up a bunch of coolers for sure. Had a big group and a bunch of dogs. Didnt turn mine out but for a hr or so. They bayed three. Spent the rest of the day chasing everybody else's dogs and catching hogs. It was a muddy mess but we all had fun and no dogs got hurt so a good day.

That looks like a lot of fun and good eating. Are those Razorback hogs ya got there? Almost wish we had hogs in NW Indiana.

Some are Russians some are feral, some are mixed.. They vary quite a bit in what they look like. Some have the razorback hair. Some have the piney woods rooter nose. That's the cool thing about hog hunting you never know for sure what your getting til you get there.

Got bad sick this weekend hunting. Been laid up a couple of days. Starting to feel a little better. Probably ought to lay up another day or two but a hunting buddy called awhile ago and it looks like we are going to drop some dogs in the morning. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Dang I've been sick all week. Haven't hunted since last Sunday. Now just when I'm starting to get better my best dog Whodoo gets to feeling bad. This year hasn't started out like I had it planned. Hopefully a trip to Doc in the morning will have her up and running soon. Saturday was so cold wet and windy that no one hunted. Today my buddies put the hurt on three. I sat it out hoping to get closer to full strength for this week.
