I watched a pair of ducks accross the lake with binos today. Too far to see well. They were to the best of my knowledge all white and they were diving in 10 foot of water. Any idea what kind of ducks they were? I think they were mallard size from what I could see. Sorry no pictures

Lots of divers and mergansers. All white or white and black?

Mergansers would be my guess, where was this at I would love to see a duck because I haven't seen hardly any at all this season. BTW mergansers are not good to eat as a matter of a fact almost all diving ducks are not very good to eat, they taste like a combination of liver and saltwater fish.

Google Lesser Scaup, Canvasback or Bufflehead (although the Bufflehead is smaller than a mallard)
