I am disappointed in America. However, does this mean that the griping, obstructionism, and calls for violence against Conservatives can now stop? ? Please? ?? Hopefully this just promotes more "across the isle" collaboration for the greater good of our country.

Democrats won't be obstructing anymore...when in a position of power it's not obstruction.

Pelosi right now on video on CBS news saying that they want unity, as they "reign in the White House", all in the same breath. You just cannot make this stuff up. "Unity", while they divide Americans and continue to obstruct the will of the People.

You may feel that she's trying to "obstruct the will of the people", but in general, half of the people in this country support the Democrats and the other half support Republicans. So in actuality....she's only obstructing the will of half the people... It just happens to be the half that most people on this site support.

Hussein odumba was "famous" for making the obvious statement that: "Elections have consequences". Those of us who are conservatives won the last presidential election, so the libs are in effect, obstructing the will of the People.

To use your logic...based on the mid-term elections last night, the will of the people was for the House to be under Democrat control. So in effect...the Democrats are going to push their agenda based on the fact that they are now the majority party in the House of Representatives due to the will of the voters.

I did notice she stated how they were going to start these investigations but ended with they want unity - you can't make this stuff up.

The Democrats in the House can vote to impeach the President with a simple majority, but he can't be removed from office unless two thirds (67) of the Senators agree to impeach and that isn't going to happen. So all it will be is a dog and pony show and (of course) a giant waste of taxpayer monies...again. Welcome to divided government.

Our government has been divided as long as I can remember, regardless of majorities. One side wants open borders, to butcher infants in the womb, to disarm law-abiding America citizens, and to normalize all sort of perversion, and in effect, remake America into a place you wouldn`t recognize from even just 10 years ago. It`s like George Bailey, frantic, running through the snow in the sleazy Pottersville, searching for his beloved Bedford Falls, on this isn`t just some hollywod movie.

Hopefully the new legislators - Dem and Republicans say - "We've had enough of that. Lets do the nations business for change.." Pelosi will make a huge mistake of that is all they do for two years. That pendulum will swing back in 2020 BIG time.

They will impeach right after Republicans repeal Obamacare.... It's just the politicians say to get power.

Perspective on yesterday...
Midterm Election, Most House Seats Lost by President's Party in Power
2010 Obama: -63 1994 Clinton: -52 1958: Eisenhower: -48 1974 Ford (Nixon): -48 1966 Johnson: -47 1946 Truman: -45 2006 Bush: -30 1950 Truman: -29 1982 Reagan: -26 2018 Trump: -26

Bottom line.... Republicans held all 3 for two years. Anything they claim they wanted to do they could have done. Anything that didn't get done (the wall, gutting sanctuary cities, constitutional carry, etc) is because they collectively did not want to do it.
It's politics.

The ways that really matter.

It's about grabbing and holding onto power. And that's on both sides of the aisle.

We`ve just about compromised our Second Amendment rights away to the point that it`s shameful. There are times when we have to stand up, stop allowing our rights, values and traditions to continue to be chipped away at. I applaud conservative politicians who aren`t RINO`s and who refuse to submit our rights to even more assault.

The house has and will continue to play the role of obstructionists. What was predicted to happen, happened. I hope the left will be adults and work with the right (unlike the previous swing) as neither side is 100% right in any issue.

The House can only make noise. Everything goes through the Senate and the Senate controls what is voted or tabled from the House. The majority just received 3 more. This was true when the Democrats controlled and President and Senate and Republicans controlled the House. The House made a lot of noise, but nothing happened out of the House. Noise and more noise.

The Republicans complaining about the Democrats being obstructionists is laughable. The Republicans obstructed any and all things for 8 years, even openly saying that they would not go along with Democrat ideas, period, even if they didn't know what they were yet.
So the Republicans expect what? Hold hands around the campfire and sing kumbaya?
Someone needs to put down the swords first, and then somebody else next, and then collaborate for the good of the nation for once.
Don't think it's gonna happen though...
