Saw a bunch of urban deer today out feeding on acorns. Also a bunch of turkeys. This was 1-3pm est. Still just a nasty mist here, all day, start to finish. Would be a great evening hunt, just hate to have to hurry processing one with 80's next 3 days. Next weekend looks to be the start of good times ahead!

I checked straps on treestands and a couple of cameras today. Had several does and young bucks checking scrapes, nothing big yet.

Speaking of prey I had 2 doe come running in on me this evening. The doe with twins hung around for about 20 minutes and they busted out hard,a few seconds later 3 coyotes come in on their trail

Sitting in a stand for the first time this season. Just walked behind the house. Pretty warm, but I have the day off so might as well sit for a few hours. Busted some turkeys off the roost walking down here.

Second sit of the year yesterday evening and got myself a decent bodied doe. Was only in the stand for 10 minutes before she was down. She came in with a yearling and got her at about 25 yards. Ran 50 yards and went down 15 yards from the road. The hunt could not have gone any better!
