Was down in your neck of the woods this past wknd scrub, would of been neat to watch you in person ! You would have been watching me tear out an old goat pasture fence.

I started on the sheath tonight. I used a medium weight leather. I am using a fold over design. It's simple and looks good. I didn't like the yellow color so I dyed it. I'll stitch it up tomorrow evening. It needs some time to dry. I'm going to use the brown artificial sinew. It will have some contrast to the black dye.

I used a Lanskey kit to get it scary sharp. This must be some tough steel. I wore out my course stone on it.

After spending that many hours sanding it didn't want to mess it up. I use the tape on all of my knives that I sharpen that way.

Looking great! If you use your Lanskey system often, try the diamond stones. They're a little more expensive, but get the job done quicker and last what seems like forever. I switched out a couple years ago, and really like the diamond stones better. The knife looks awesome!

I've used them before in a Smith's sharpening kit.

I am thinking about getting this conversion kit for an old 4x36 sander that I have. It would be a lot better than the one I used on this knife. I would like to get a 2x72 grinder but those cost about $2000 and up. www.akgrinders.com/

We gonna see you on Forged in Fire? Not any time soon. I would need a lot more experience and equipment before I could do anything like that.

I wish I had your skills. Very nice I have no special skills. I research how to do something and then give it a try learning from my mistakes.
