I saw where what I presume to be a tree rat had been cutting on noticeably green red oak acorns. Either I have never noticed, or I have forgotten since I slacked off squirrel hunting. I mentioned this to my friend in Decatur County and he noticed the same thing up there.

They're hitting the hickories hard at my house. They may do a little sampling of my oaks, but not hitting them hard yet.

150yo Burr oak at work is drawing some attention. Looks like an average mast year for it.
