I agree, the wall paper is getting covered up by the old floors. My dad and my brothers and I built this home 20 years ago. My dad tongue and grooved all the poplar floors so I'm putting them on the walls. Moved the stairs so they're stacked and made a new hallway then covered wall's in wood. Next is industrial lighting using iron pipe and Edison bulbs then hog wire for the stair railings and tin for accents. Stone hearth for a wood burner and new floors. I'll post when I get all of that done. Just using contractors for structural work and I'm finishing it.

Been a while since I’ve updated on my progress. I put in hickory floors, and my knees are thankful that’s done. I still need to put the floor trim on. I’ve marked out the size I’m going to build my wood burning stove hearth. Almost Finished my roll around island, just have to build a door using barn tin to finish. Took four men to put on the quartz island top, that thing was heavy .Any wall not covered in wood was painted. Should be done in a couple of weeks with the odds and ends.
Started working in the basement of the log home. Put in rails and hog wire, then wired a couple of light fixtures and put up all led lighting. Started on my tin ceiling. Pain in the butt to do one handed holding tin and screwing it in with the other hand.
Been awhile since I’ve worked inside my log home but I did manage to hook up my wood burning stove Monday. Lit a fire in it that night to be sure there’s no issues. Worked great and kept the place warm since it got down to 40 that night.
