After last weeks spectacular day of Walleye fishing we never thought we could beat that record........ WRONG.This week our group with schall53 included fished on Wednesday aboard The Eagle Eye with or friend and Captain Bob Hayner. The lake was almost glass calm when we set the first rods at approx. 7:00 am and it was still calm when we broke down our rods at 8:30 am after catching and keeping 44 Walleye while releasing a few small ones. THAT'S RIGHT 44 WALLEYE IN UNDER 2 HOURS, THAT'S OUR NEW AND PROBABLY FOREVER RECORD.Lake Erie is the place to be if you want to catch walleye and The Eagle Eye is the boat to fish with. www.eagleeyecharters.com/Bob has a cancellation for June 19-20 if anyone is interested give him a call. To put this in perspective 6 guys fished a grand total of approx 5 hours over a 2 day period bringing home 85 filleted walleye that we had cleaned by a fish cleaning service so that we could enjoy some adult beverages on the patio of our marina based home. We ate like Kings at the Crows Nest restaurant where they cooked up some of our Walleye by making if several different ways. Our group is a great bunch of guys and we all had a wonderful time. If you would like more details about Lake Erie fishing contact me and I will give you my best advise. Schall53 will attach some photos to this thread in a little while.

Batter them and fry them just like you do any other fish parts. The skin stays on and you just suck the meat part right off the bone or cartilage. Then you can nibble on the fried fins.
