I killed this bird at 8:50 am eastern time on opening day in Jefferson county. The ole bird gobbled at the end of the field I was watching from within the blind. I had the funky chicken out along with Sittin hen decoy.. the gobbler never paid any heed from about 300 yds, possibly couldn’t see my set up. After about 45 minutes I could tell he had gobbled up a hen or two. Took them a bit, but the hen finally began to work my way and he begrudgingly followed. Meanwhile I kept hearing another gobbler behind me, seemingly getting closer. Trying to keep my attention now on two birds, I watched the one I could see circling my set up and passing about 75 yds south towards the other gobbler I could hear but not see. Suddenly he was on my Ridge now and had a new sense of purpose I guess because here he come in a rush. At 15 yds I stopped him for a shot and bailed him.. wow what a rush it was👍 20 lb Tom with 10” beard and 1” spurs... what a great but quick day afield🦃.. don’t know how to add a short video here or a pic...

Congrats Turk, did you have any luck in Kentucky? The guys on the other forum were wondering where you were.

I don't know how to post pictures here so I can't help you with that. I didn't hunt KY this year and haven't for several years, my favorite spots are all gone with the mining and timber cutting. I got my Indiana gobbler the first Friday of the season this year and spent a few days trying to help my son get his. Good to hear from you, hope all is well.
