I've seen several post on Facebook of people finding them. Has anyone on here found any yet? Looking to go hunt mushrooms and scout turkeys in the next couple weekends. I'll be looking down in Putnam co.

I have found a few in late March in unusually warm years, but this ain't one of 'em.
Although you might find some shed antlers while wandering through the woods.

While I couldn't find them if I fell into a bin full at Walmart, there are some guys my mom works with that have found a few in Jackson and Scott counties already this year.

That rain won't do any good when it freezes at night. The ground is very cold and it's still several weeks away from season.

I agree. Looked on the Tenn. site and they are finding some nice ones in Nashville and a few in S Kentucky. It is working its way this way very slowly

I found 4 very small greys yesterday before the evening showers. Very very small. They're marked and will be picked by my grandma and grandpa at a later date.

This morning all the standing water in the puddles was frozen, and there was ice out 4'-5' from shore on my pond too.

I've been working south of goose pond and the may apples are up but not open. A few wild flowers are bloomed.

Internet reports I have seen said early shrooms have been found as north as Jackson co. Pics were decent size for early. I will wait a few weeks.
I bet the shrooms will be good this year

Should be good week starting this weekend. Highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Perfect.
