Yeah we have a good time. This time of year it gets hot so we will hunt a couple hours in the morning and head to the shade.

Still planning on making the trip early next year. Later in the year I'll get ahold of you to work out the details. Leave a few for us.

I have always hunted around here with hounds on coons and Labs for ducks. Love watching dogs work. I would love to get with you and see them on the hogs sometime.

Right now it's hot and hogs are hard to stop but we are still catching a few. Best time of year is February and March. Hogs had a nice vacation during deer season. The weather is cool enough that we can hunt all day and the snakes aren't crawling. Me and my buddy caught this dude and a sow about the same size Friday morning. Slick hunt in and out in 2 hrs. And no dogs got cut.

Stop, just stop with the updates. February can't come quick enough. Don't think my buddies have any idea what they are getting themselves into. To pass the time I'm taking my boy later on in the year to chase bear and bobcats with hounds. Don't have a kill tag, just listening to the hounds.

Dang 105 degrees down here. Dogs will be sucking wind this weekend. Luckily I'm at work. My dogs are going to spend the weekend lying in their water bowls.

Yeah the hog that sticks to a pattern and a schedule is not long for this world. Drop the hounds on a fresh track shouldn't take long.

Unrelated to running dogs, but do you have a specific 308 or 10mm round you recommend? Not sure which ill carry yet but I load 168gr hornady match ammo for my 308. Whatever gun i take will be a backup, bow kill is. my go to.

I don't really shoot them unless they are in a trailer fixing to get cleaned. Usually just shoot them with a 22. I'm sure a 160 grain 308 will dispatch one no problem. Daughter shot some this year with an AR 223 and did pretty good. They can be hard to get down sometimes. Sometimes they drop like a rock.

Caught 3 this morning. Been at work for awhile so felt good catching a couple. Probably shouldn't have kissed this dude.
