I'm so old fashioned. Just sent Sam and e-mail with the question. Brain dead for a couple days.

Well, I am going to bite the bullet and buy a diesel Ram. BUT, it'll be the 1500, not the 2500. From what I'm reading they get about 8-9 mpg better than the 2500. Nothing that I will tow will be over 7,000 pounds, and it won't be a high profile trailer, that's the reason behind the 1500 vs. 2500. That and the extra expense of the 2500 truck and the Cummins option.
I've been driving a diesel for a long time and no comparably sized gas motor can match their fuel economy on the highway.

Tell them you want the block heater added also.... park view is a great option also.

Cold weather package, tow hooks, skid plates, back up camera, navigation, 4 corner active suspension, posi rear end, Ram boxes, 4 wd, and the parking sensors are most of the options. Probably the LED bed lighting and a few other things that will make life easier, along with the lifetime warranty.

They're a little bold, but I really like the looks of the Rebel, and saw where they plan to offer the diesel in it soon.

Ditto on the fuel economy. I have owned four Ford diesel trucks since 2001. Made the mistake of buying a F250 with the 6.8 gas engine. Terrible mileage. Got rid of it and bought my 2013 F350. I get better mileage with my F350 hauling 3 tons of hay than I did with the gas engine F250 when it was hauling nothing. I will never buy a truck again that doesn't have a diesel engine. As far as repairs go, I kept my first 2001 F350 for 220,000 miles. Only repair was a starter. The engine has a 100,000 mile warranty btw

Don't need anything fancy or sporting, was thinking of the Bighorn addition. I'd really like to have a different interior color than black/grey, but from the pictures I don't like the way the brown/tan looks. Outside, I was leaning towards the True Blue Pearl. Their options list is really weird. For instance, if I want the wheel to wheel running boards I have to have the leather interior. WTF? ? Can't get the 32 gallon tank with the diesel, some other weird combos that you are forced to have too if you want "X" option. I looked, and it'll have to be ordered, no 1500, crew cab, 6'-4" bed within at least a couple hundred miles with the diesel engine. At least not according to the Ram "find a truck" website.
