It's been a long and tough journey getting our old house sold and our build started, but it is finally coming along and we love it. Can't wait for it all to be completed and we can move in. I have to put insulation in the garage walls and build a deck on the back, but that's all I have to do to finish it. Rough in for hvac, plumbing, and electrical will all be done by next Monday. Hoping by mid August we will be all ready to move in.

Nice. I see the foundation lip on the garage for brick, but can't tell on the back. Full brick or brick front?

Well we made it. We spent our first night in the house last night. Yesterday was a long day and more stuff to still move today, but it is all worth it.

I got the washer and dryer all hooked up today and put a load of laundry in the washer. It gets part way through the wash cycle when I hear my wife yelling from the basement. Water is blowing all over the place. Good thing the plumber will be here Monday for another issue, so he can just add this to the list. Just glad she was down there then or the entire basement would have been soaked.

Ugh...nothing like a water leak to keep you guessing. I have been fighting 3 different water leaks in the unfinished part of my basement. I fixed the first one only to have another show up a week or so later. Thought I fixed that only to have the 3rd leak show up a week or so later. Fixed that only to have the 2nd one show up again a week or so later...pretty sure they are all fixed now. I close my eyes when I go into that part now.

The water heater and washer line leak were fixed on Monday and we are good to go for now. Washer leak ended up being they didn't finish connecting the drain line, so it was just draining straight into the basement. Thought I'd add a couple more pics. First is of my wife driving my car down to our house. I had one of my mounts buckled in the front seat. She had the most important load coming down here. It contained all the guns, bows, and three deer mounts. And now it feels a little more like home. I'll post a pic of my sons mount once we get it up.
