What I took away from reading that article is the following: 1) The ordinance is dead for a minimum of 1 year. But another one can crop up......... 2) Anyone can petition the country attorney to draft an ordinance and he will not divulge that persons name (either that or the 2 Commissioners in attendance are liars). 3) Commissioner Kora needs to go. My gut is telling me that he is behind the proposal. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

If the "county attorney" is doing county work then I would think that would nullify attorney client privelege.

What amazes me is that is Indiana. Not CA, NY, MD and so on and elected officials still don't understand the positions of their constituents. Seems pretty clear to me. It brings to mind the House of Representatives vote on the Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act. 175 elected officials voted against it. In other words they were fine with veterans losing their second amendment rights with no due process.( as in no court proceedings) So, the men and women who protect our freedom loose two constitutional rights, 2nd amendment(right to bear arms) and 4th amendment (due process) just because they appoint a fiduciary to handle their finances? It is incredible the disconnect between elected officials and the people who elected them. Sorry for the rant and the hijack......

Not sure there right to hunt guarantees the use of any certain tools! Exactly the RTH does not over ride local ordinance or DNR season restrictions. Marion County has a ban on discharging fire arms essentially removing gun hunting. I think the rule is ridiculous but not a second ammendment issue either. But it sounds like this is a dead issue. Marion County does not have a ban on discharging firearms. There is an old Indianapolis city ordinance that does, but it only covers the city limits that were in effect when the ordinance was passed.

Gotcha, based on the morning news the ordinance is not working! But at least no one is hunting there.
