Looks like a bobcat to me but it could be a young coyote.

Just like Bigfoot, nobody ever gets a clear photo of these alleged midwestern cougars.

I think I saw that one in the paper. Owner says his name is Mr. Fluffykins. There's a $5 reward if that's really him.

Why are so many people so concerned of the possibility of Indiana having cougars again that they simply cannot accept that we have a healthy and growing population of bobcats?
Do some research people. Bobcats are not just a little bigger version of fluffy you have a home.

Do some research people. Bobcats are not just a little bigger version of fluffy you have a home. I can believe it for sure. I've been telling people forever that I find "way bigger than housecat" cat tracks in the mud at my fishing hole. They never believe me but I've seen them creeping around in the woods at night around there too. I always use dead fall to box myself in against the shore and set string alarms behind me just in case.

a good picture showing the tail would clear up whether it is a big bobcat or small lion.

On closer look it do believe it might just be a maneless African lion. Juvenile of course.

I think it is, I get fox, coyote, housecats, and deer on this same path daily. I hunt just 40 yards to the left on this foodplot. Camera is about 8 yards from bobcat. Almost forgot the neighbors dogs also use this path.

I was bow hunting about 3-4 years ago in the woods there and had one staring at me while I was in my climber. He was about 20 yards but had already busted me before I saw him.

I'd love to see a picture of it with it's head sideways. I'm thinking young coyote. Not a bobcat, no mottling of fur, ears aren't quite right. Not a Mt. Lion, not near big enough. Compare the grass to the animal, blades of grass are too large in relation to the critter for it to be very large. Heck, even a small female Mt. Lion is 5' plus from nose to butt, and that doesn't include the tail. A small female Mt. Lion has paws the size of my hands, and I wear Lg/Ex.Lg gloves.
