The "Perfect" Question!! Why haven't they come-up with a replacement plan in six years... Either they lack the "testicular fortitude" to make the tough choices or they can't figure out a better plan or they don't want to p*ss off the insurance lobby or they have found out it's tougher to govern than campaign or......a bit of all of the above.GOOD POST!!

how can they not have a serious health care plan? They had 6 years to develop one! The plan should have been to let the free market handle it. If they MUST regulate it, it needs two things: no lifetime limits, and no pre-existing condition biases. I personally like letting kids stay on the parents plan until 26, ... It's not the job of our government. It certainly is a job of a socialist country. If we mandate that our government hold our hand on this one, someday, they'll be making food out of old people. I'm starting to wonder if people really understand what less government means.

pre-existing conditions sounds great until you have people calling from the ambulance to get insurance....
Open it up to nationwide competition and allow any person or group of persons to team up with any other person or group of persons to pool their purchasing power. Then stay the heck out of the way. Do that and people will be able to demand what is and is not covered .....

In the older days Democrats were moderates and loved the USA and the Republicans all fought between moderate Republicans and conservative Republicans and loved the USA. There where always some liberals in the Democrat party that leaned Nazi, but now it is ruled as a Communist/Nazi/socialism party and more than half of the Republicans are Democrat moderate. Today's Democrat's hate USA and all that oppose the Democratic way.

In the end, the Republicans couldn't, wouldn't (or didn't want to) sell their "health care" plan to their own party and as such, they are leaving Obamacare in place for the foreseeable future (this according to Paul Ryan).
Today, I wrote my Senators and Congress people and told them to get off their duffs and get back to work on this and every other major issue facing the country. I also reminded the Republican members that they only have a two year window to get things done and if they don't do it now, it won't happen as they will turn their efforts to re-election instead.
Which is all any of them care about anyway.....

Now "Obamacare" belongs to the two leading Liberal Senators, and if it goes the way many are saying, with our current healthcare law, it just might backfire on the Democrats.

The Republicans already control the House, Senate and White House. If they don't get @ least some of the things done that they campaigned on, they will only have themselves to blame and in two years the Democrats are going to be campaigning on a "do nothing" Congress. In other words...they (the Republicans) have an opportunity to make significant changes in the way this country is governed. But if the healthcare bill is an indication of how they are handling their new found power, it won't be long before the Democrats will be given another opportunity to screw things up by the electorate....

I agree with you some what, however with "Big Liberal Medias" supporting and defending the Liberal Democrats, little if anything will be accomplished.

The Republicans need to get off their butts and do the job they promised the American people they would do, not make excuses and cry about the liberal media....
After all, it's not like the Republicans didn't know the media would come after them....

I haven't followed this all that much but it appeared to me that Ryan took a page out of the Dem playbook and thought he would shove this "health care bill" through without any conservative input. Rand Paul was locked out of the process. They would not even tell him what was going on.
To me they need to repeal Obamacare and then get out of the way..OR work with ALL republicans and the Dems that want to sign on.

When I heard Rand Paul talking about it, I thought he had some great ideas about how to work together to get a presentable package. I don't think Rand will let anyone shove anything down his throat.

If they repeal Obamacare and "get out of the way", the Republicans have to deal with people losing their insurance. It's political suicide.
What they should have done is put together a plan that had wide ranging support (@ least within their own party) and sold it to the American people instead of trying to push through (what many consider) a hastily cobbled together mess.

It must be a job that any common man can do, and the common man just never got the opportunity to do it. It seems difficult to me, but lots of things do. I'm a little on the simple side, pencil not too sharp if you know what I mean. I really don't think I could do it.
