I was watching Lone star law and whatever county it was had antler restrictions. One guy shot a young buck and barely made it. The officer was a horn nut and preached to the camera about how terrible shooting young deer is. The second case was a guy who called on himself after shooting a buck with a sub-legal spread. They get there... obviously mature deer, just high and super tight. They had to write him a ticket.
Talk about dumb! Such restrictions would protect "cull" bucks while limiting opportunities for everybody. What about those weird deer with only one antler? Or a broken antler?
I can see sitting out there in December and passing a deer you need to feed your kids because of arithmetic!

I saw the saw show. That is one reason I have and will fight attempts of antler restrictions in Indiana.

There should never be such a thing as antler restrictions. That blatantly promotes exactly what we see on tv. Don't get me wrong if that's how you choose to hunt more power to you, but everyone should not be forced to hunt like that.
