Well at least for Saturday. This Saturday will be the first time in 3+ months that I will be able to get out to the lake. And I am salivating. With all the work and addition/remodel going on finally put my foot down to the Warden, err, wife I mean. So while I am going to be out on parole this weekend what are the fish biting on?
I plan on trying to work the bass a little, understandably the crappie will be working a little I'm sure. Any thoughts and oh by the way I don't care if it will be snowing or not. I've got some hunting gear that I wasn't allowed to use last hunting season that I will probably dust off and get out there. I'm getting so pumped about it, I only have 58 1/2 hours until play time.

We've been getting some crappie about 5' to 7' deep along steep banks under docks. Good luck and be safe.

What have they been hitting on? Minnows, Jigs or what? Any luck with bass? Thanks all.

I have been throwing a 1/8 or 1/16 rooster tail black/crawdad for bass and bluegill. Wind blown shallows or just off the ledge were it drops to deeper water. Sure this front will shut it down again for awhile. Fishing been hot since January. Cleaned a lot of fish already this year.

Even if the fish aren't biting, for me it is still a win. I'll be getting away from the remodel and the wife, errr the "warden". I will let you know if I do any good and post pics if i getthat lucky.

Post cold front, windy and cold. Not my idea of a nice "get away" day on the water. I'd take a rain check for the next weekend in the 60's!!
