I'm in the market for a new bow recently shot the PSE Evolve and really liked it, but I've heard some negative things about PSE over the years so I'm a little leary of laying down $1,000 for a new bow - especially it's first year on the market. There aren't many PSE dealers in my area. Anyone shooting this bow or heard anything about it? I've also shot the Mathews Halon and like it. Lots of Mathews dealers around me so I'm thinking it would be easier to have serviced & maintained. Open to all suggestions. Thanks.

Mainline series not Proline series. Served me well. I upgraded the sights and stabilizer and replaced the strings and cables with Mathews Zebra. Removed the tube peep for a trio peep. Life was good and I shot accurately. Then the dumb bug bit. I "upgraded" to the PSE Drive R which is the entry level Proline series. The cam setup (which is not the new Evolve) is terrible. I had to drop 7 lbs of draw weight to comfortably draw the bow. Let me put this in perspective. I work out over 7 hours per week and half of my weight training is archery specific. I also shoot my bow at least 4 times per week in a range I set up in one of my barns for winter practice. Buy the Mathews. PSE gives up smooth draw for speed. I made a mistake that I won't make again. I am finished with PSE. I wouldn't sell this bow to an enemy. I know this doesn't directly answer your question. Still buy the Mathews. Wish I had
