Got my scentlok enforcer today. I'm running it in my car to give it a test run. Will the Ozone interfere with your all-natural cover scent?

I'm not a believer. None of the scent reduction stuff is needed if you utilize the wind correctly.

I'm not a believer. None of the scent reduction stuff is needed if you utilize the wind correctly. Not a believer in truly 100% eliminating scent either. Predominate wind directions are perhaps the single largest factor when choosing a stand option for a hunt...however so many different things can impact wind and how it moves by or around your stand. Dips in topography can greatly impact it....rivers/creeks....buildings....wood lots in middle of fields can impact it too depending where your stand is. Not too mention anyone that has sat around a bonfire knows the wind shifts sometimes upwards of 20-50 times an hour... Those are reasons why I personally do all I can to minimize my scent impact...but am not naive enough to think I'm "invisible" to their noses; due to that being impossible.

Exactly why I bought my taxidermist's Ozonics. The food plot I hunt has a big set of pines to the northwest.. Even though that is a "good wind" direction it tends to swirl. That has gotten me in trouble more than once...

Three seasons ago, I was up in a stand watching a young buck come down in the bottom. I was watching him, and it was a really cool moment. Suddenly, the wind shifted and blew my scent directly his way. He stands alert looking at me, and bolts back up the hill.
It would be nice to know how many times I've been busted like this without my knowledge. I'm sure it's a lot more than I aware of.
Will I ever spend $400-$500 on an Ozonics??? I don't know. Right now I can't imagine it, but I'd give my neighbor $500 in a heartbeat if he needed it.

Yep... I've seen deer get a smell of me at 100 yards plus. No telling how many smelled me at that distance that I didn't see.. If a deer sees you and you don't move you can get by with it. If a deer heard you, you may get by with it. If a deer smells you - bye..

100% scent elimination is impossible however I will do anything I can to reduce it. Yes to all of the above, wind changing etc.

I've noticed that several people on here use an ozone generator in a closet or car and feel that it reduces odors.
Has anyone on here used an ozone generator while on stand and watched a down wind deer ignore your scent?
Just curious.

I have personally witnessed on several occasions, deer directly downwind of me catch my scent at over 500 yards away across a bean field in the summer time when there was barely enough of breeze to call it a breeze. I do not believe it is possible to eliminate your scent but I believe it is possible to reduce it enough that they do not think you are an immediate threat to their safety.

I can smell a smoker a half mile downwind and have smelled deer 60yds away 20 feet up in a treestand.
