Better view of the color now that the cab is wet sanded and buffed. How does the wet sanding work? I've never done any of that before.

You basically knock the clear coat down with 1000 grit, knock it down more with 1200, then smooth and flatten with 1500. Then you buff it a lot to bring the shine back out. It takes out the runs and imperfections and puts a more defined mirror shine on it.

I imagine it helps take the orange peel off too.

Thats basically it, making the orange peel flat

Repainted the frame today. And brake parts started arriving. Gonna spend the next 3 days with my little one then new brakes and bearings all the way around. Run the new brake lines and then we can set the bed on the frame.

Re-doing the motor and clean up the body/frame.

Tomorrow will be a light day. Ill mount the custom speaker brackets, finish the shocks, and undercoat the bed and likely call it a day.

I can certainly see how you could get 18K for it. I've said it a few times that I like it before you started the restoration. It was beautiful to me then. I'm curious why you didn't do a disk conversion on the back???
