Success! A pretty good combination so far. Did not yield any squirrels today. But, then, the only tails I saw were those of woodpeckers, songbirds and a coyote! As I posted in Campfire, I got a good deal on a Simmons .22 Mag scope from Wal-Mart for $38. So today I decided to sight her in on the new Henry Pump with some Hornady .22 Mag V-Max. This was the result on the 3rd, 5 shot group from 25 yards. The only decent rest I could find was the brace of one of our ladder stands. The 3 shots above fired first, then dialed her down a bit for the lower 2 shots. I'm not sure whether I will keep her at 25 yards but I'm happy for now. This was the christening of the Henry Pump Action and I must say I was amazed at the trigger. Hands down the best trigger squeeze for me on a .22 anything! And at that, I really like my Ruger 10/22! I'm anxious to shoot some other ammo. But for now, I'm pretty pleased!

I've wondered how well those pumpers shot. Looks like it does a pretty fair job!

Nice looking rifle. Henry seems to be doing a good at marketing and selling their AMERICAN made guns. If they did a 1000 gun shoot at somewhere like Friendship I would be in.
