Bundle soup for me this year. Did seem to see more deer this year at least during an all day sit during archery. Passed on a small forky buck a week before gun opener. Shot and missed on a nice doe due to a tree branch. A small doe was one step away from a ride on my truck, but ducked back into cover. Totally skunked during gun season only seeing the one buck that appeared after I climbed down and was taking a leak. I got just a glimpse of one on the other property I got permission to hunt. Tippy River state park hunt was a skunker as well. The weather and my limited time to hunt this year were big issues. Hopefully next year will be better and I'll have more time.

I'm eating an archery and firearm tag this year.

I am eating the final 1/3 of my bundle, which was supposed to go on my Indiana Buck. Unless my memory isn't working, this is the first year I've not killed an Indiana buck since my first. Kind of made the decision to not shoot a buck I wouldn't mount from this point on so I'm ok with the outcome.
Still had a great season, probably logging the most hours yet. Killed a buck in Kentucky that's going on the wall, killed 2 does with archery & muzzleloader and killed a doe at BO thanks to a couple members here.

I have a lifetime license and have never bought a deer tag in my life. If I had one thought, I would still have it now.
I only hunted a couple of times by myself. All other times I had my son and I didn't even take a weapon.

well ... I went 0 for 3 on my bundle. Made a bad hit on a doe with the xbow that I failed to recover, and passed on easy shots on several 1.5 yr old bucks. Even had a stand stolen this year - which totally screwed up my opening morning firearm hunt. BUT I did get a big ol' nanny doe behind my house (Plan B for opening day firearm day), so it got tagged with a landowner tag. Bonus: I got my wife to blood trail it with me, AND hold the flashlight while I field dressed her (the doe, not the wife)

I did eat one military and a muzzleloader tag; it was still fun carrying them around with me in the woods.
