Its not a waste if you think about balancing the predator prey ratio.

Eat them? I'm curious I'm going coyote hunting next week and I hate to waste what I kill. If you do, you're a better man than me. I put them in a catagory with muskrat. I ain't putting anything that smells that bad when I'm skinny it in my mouth. Period.

Taste like chicken!!!. I wouldn't eat one of those nasty things if I was starving. Seen to many bad things they can do while I was keeping them for the live market several years ago.

Alright lol, I just hate wasting stuff. I really do too, but I cut the coons up for bait. I would eat one if I were starving. I'd eat my dog if I were starving. There is a huge difference between feeling very hungry and actually starving. I still wouldn't eat one.

I still wouldn't eat one. There certainly is, and I've never been close. When I miss lunch I think I am, but... If people will eat someone they were sitting by on a flight, I'd eat a coyote.
