Where I hunt morning hunts have been tough this year. Evening hunts have been much more productive, with most deer sightings being bucks. Over the past couple years I recall that most buck sightings occur during the evening with doe movement more frequent in the morning. Anyone else experience a difference similar movement behavior?

Afternoon hunts on a food source. Get in between the bedding area and food. Hope for cold weather to come in to make them move. All I am seeing right now is bucks.

When it's cold, late morning to afternoon is the best time. 10am to 3pm they feed and then next time is after dark. Just remember there is a 2nd rut sometime nothing to good ruts coming up. It's 28 days for the next doe cycle and should just after the full moon (14th). I think the peak of the rut was around the Nov. 19th so the 10th - 18th should be best days if the weather cooperates.

There have been seasons where I seen Deer move all day; like the other day while I was Squirrel Hunting, I saw five Doe moving through the woods. Then again there have been Deer Seasons where Morning or Evening hunts proved more productive.

Depending on the fawns there are mini ruts at this time of year. Once again you have to be out there and at the right spot.

I can't really come up with a pattern; this archery season was a good example. I did not see a single buck during that season but a good number of does (could have killed a few I had been using a compound). First buck I saw for the season was the one I killed opening morning of gun season. JDUB saw mostly bucks during that time - and little ones at that, except for those 4 10's that came out of the corn field behind my place when they were harvesting (he did see does once in a while too). We are hunting the same properties at the same time; just different spots and not always the same spots.
