I heard that a taxidermist here in Decatur County had to have all of his tools and equipment cleaned by the State after having 2 maybe 3 bucks test positive for TB from Franklin County. Maybe Woody has some info as to whether or not this is true?

I personally haven't seen or heard of any positive cases. Especially on the DNR website.

Heard just yesterday that onl 1 case in Wild deer found and that on the farm the cattle had tested positive and through DNA sampling it was traced to a deer farm , If the Target number of 2 1/2 plus yr old bucks is not met only then sharpshooters will be called in This info from a reliable source

Doesnt make a lot if sense as to why a taxidermist would have to sterilize tools. Not like you can transmit TB to dead deer.
If it were the case, it would make more sense for DNR to sterilize hunters knives.

Great news! Just really hoping for no positives. The tb web site must be really behind. It's still 125 bucks.

So the DNR website states they wanted 1100 samples. They got nearly 2100 samples (1077 of which were 2+ year old bucks). Does that mean they won't use sharpshooters?
