here he is, main frame 6x5 with split g3's and a 1-1/8" point on one of the bases, 14 points, 220lb dressed Killed him at 9:15 am Saturday morning. Had worked for two years to get ground in this area and finally got a small piece to hunt this year. I hung a couple stands and put out a cam. Hunted this stand a week ago and almost shot a 130" 8 point with my Mathews s2 but it hung up. Was in same stand at 6:30 am and started seeing deer come into a bedding area, all slick heads. Then about 8am things started to heat up and had bucks grunting and running all over. Passed a three younger bucks with the realization it was probably a matter of time. Then noticed the last doe exit the bedding area and a large buck in tow. She was hot and he had her and they both were just sneaking around. I waited at least 10 minutes before he would give me a shot and it was now or never. He was a no brainer shooter standing broadside at 100 yards, I leveled my browning x-bolt .243 and blew him up. He bucked on his hind legs and hopped and was down within 100 yards. Was a very dream like moment walking up on him. Luckily I had a friend with a side by side to help me get him as I hike around a half mile and a lot of it straight up to get to this spot. I do feel blessed and seems like the work to get my own good ground and the patience and persistence paid off. Anyway, think he grosses non-typical somewhere around 168" and is probably 4.5 years old. I had had a distinct feeling the night before more than I have ever had that it would happen. More pics selfie with my cel phone propped up on my pack right after I walked up on him after I had a moment
