Last year on October 27, 17103 deer had been checked in. So far this year we are at 9300.
Let's hear some guesses on where we will be come October 27 this year. I predict a major jump in numbers this weekend and by the 27th we will be ahead of last year.

I know some of Switzerland and Ohio counties will be cleaning up the next couple days and miss some hunting time. I will be helping my brother tomorrow. The tornado went right through the farm. Need to recheck all stands etc. Since this area has big numbers my guess will be a little lower. Maybe around 15,700.

I'll do my part to make up the deficit, hopefully. I'd say close to with the weather change and weekend.

My brother just message me that my ground blind is gone. It was tied in a group of sapling trees in an over grown field. Not sure where it is.

We lost power for 12 hrs last night. Winds hit over 70 miles at the house. I'm sure everyone's ground blinds are gone. It was like being in a washing machine with softball sized hail!

I think this weekend will be good, but I wouldn't be surprised if all the warm weather so far has us behind of where we were this time last season.
I guess 15,500 by 10/27.

Where did it go through at guys? I am outside Brooksburg. Per my brother is started somewhere between Big Oaks east to maybe Pleasant/Fairview along 250 to Allensville to I think the north side of East Enterprise and then somehow down the hill to Rising Sun. Might has skipped over the hill to the river. I heading there tomorrow.

All I know is if the number harvested dropped some will scream bloody murder that "See the herd is dangerously low and falling" and if the numbers are similar or more some will scream bloody murder that "Harvest totals are not accurate nor a sign of herd numbers"

A comparison of harvest numbers is generally fun, but will provide zero information towards anything but number of checked in deer. Way too many variables from one year to the next within such a short time span to determine anything else.

Hi just wait till the rifle season starts the system won't even be able to keep up with the number of deer being checked in on opening day of firearms

Harvest numbers prove a lot It was explained and shown on a black board in a visual black and white with Monroe co used because Bloomington was brought up several times and what was also proved in MonroeCo anyways The No of Bonus Doe tags wheather 8or just one had very little to do with the Doe to buck or trend in the harvest no,S over a 10 year period Our herd is doing well IMO You can't kill what's not there The harvest numbers prove we have Deer IMO
