Will county results be available eventually? Yes, when the summary is released in 2017.

As of this morning we were @ 61,800 deer.
I also compared some numbers between last year and this year for opening weekend. BTW, these numbers are approximate...
Last season, the opening weekend harvest total was approximately 38,000 deer. This season, the opening weekend harvest total was approximately 35,500.

I still cannot believe every year how many deer fall opening of firearm weekend...just continues to boggle my mind. That is over 350 deer a county....A COUNTY...let that soak in. That is including EVERY county, not all county's have much if any hunting in them (Indy ones, Gary...)

I've hunted Hendricks, Boone , and Hamilton county all my life. They will obviously not produce as many deer as rural countries, but it shouldn't be a surprise there are a lot of deer taken in these counties opening weekend because many people around there only hunt that weekend.

I know the surrounding counties do, hence why I said Indy ones and Gary...as example for the most part Marion County has very little if any hunting ground.

And it has started...already reading folks seeing that we may have had less deer this opening weekend than last year a sign of the terrible herd numbers.....nothing official yet and estimations still say the difference is less than 2,000 at worst.
Have zero clue how someone can say that, if anything we are basically exactly the same pace....2,000 is less than 2% of the total from last year overall.
Oh and we are now at 65,684

Oh and we are now at 65,684 If you look @ the data for the first 3 days of gun season over the last several seasons, that average is 37,000 deer killed. Last season that number was 42,000. This season @ 4:00 pm on day three, that number is roughly 40,000. In other words...no huge swings one way or another to this point. To read more (or less) into the present data serves zero purpose. Time will tell where this season's totals end up and how many more (or less) deer were harvested. To speculate where we will be or what shape the overall herd is in @ this time based on incomplete data is pointless IMO.

Kill seems to be up in Montgomery and Parke this year.
Local locker is FULL and I can't recall this happening before.

My son killed a doe in youth season, buddy killed an 8 pointer hunting with me this weekend. I killed an 8 this morning.
I am done but will take my son out to try to fill his buck tag with his .243 rifle.

Comparing the historic final Deer Report numbers for the first three days against the present telecheck numbers can be misleading. We do have 48 hours to check in our deer. After check in they will be on the appropriate actual kill days when the report comes out in 2017...
