I've seen beans that are ready to pick but most in southern Indiana are still green with some turning yellow. My perry county property the farmer next to me leaves his corn in till mid December every year. Good for me because my woods go right up to his corn.

I'm in SW Ohio about 20 miles due east of Brookville In. A lot of our beans are green or just slightly turning yellow, but at the same time I'm seeing a lot of the corn coming out.

I saw another cornfield coming down today. Also have a bean field near home that is all brown and doesn't have a leaf in it.

Saw several fields in White county over the weekend that corn being picked. Several sandy river bottom ground fields in Tippecanoe county that are being picked also. Had a farmer friend tell me that there may be some rush to getting corn out early because of possible stalk rot due to all the moisture-farmers are afraid of a storm knocking fields down.
No soybeans being combined yet that I've seen in our area though.

They have been going for a couple weeks now here in IL. Our local elevators got them going when they offered half price drying. Going to be a big bumper this year of corn and beans in our area.

My brother in law is already turning dirt, beans are still in but corn is gone. Should help push the deer into the woods. Found 3 rubs there today.

Heck, you guys ought to pray every year that all the corn is down before season. Corn is nothing but a hiding place for deer, and removing it puts the deer back in the woods where you can actually see them. Not to mention that a corn diet kills off microbes that are necessary for fiber digestion, and can cause deer to starve until their bodies adjust after their access to corn is removed.

The area I hunt had the corn to the west harvested last week which is good. Hopefully the corn to the east will be gone by October 1. This will hopefully put the deer in the woods for cover which is where I'll be.

Still up here in noble country so far. Has anyone paided a farmer to keep a couple arces up? How much per arce is field corn? 🌽 🌽 🌽 I cant imagine too many farmers would be willing to leave a couple acres of corn up. youre talking about $1000 worth of corn given the price of bushels.
