[Quote/]Good luck to Becca!! Is she holding out for a buck?[/quote]
She's looking for her first deer with a bow again this year so I think anything within 20yds is in danger.

Congrats! Im taking my wife for her first time, but she can only shoot a buck. Stupid public land rules Where are you hunting that you can only kill a buck with archery equipment?

Well, ladies first! I know some may not approve of this but it was her first time hunting and I told her to shoot. A fawn was taken tonight. 10 yards in front of the blind and she made a perfect shot. Pretty cool to hear her talk after the shot. "Did you see that!?!" "I just shot a deer!" She was pretty geeked up and I really enjoyed sharing that with her. That moment reminds me of how this effects "most" (not including PETA people) new hunters when they unlock our natural instincs to hunt and eat. Memories made for a lifetime. Deer is butchered and in the cooler. The back straps were so tender they almost ripped apart when I was cutting away from the back! A great night and very lucky and happy to live under God's Grace and harvest this animal with my best friend. Cheers Gents! This is absolutely wonderful!!!! We're very happy for her and that you got to enjoy it with her. Is she the first that we've seen posted this season?

Congrats! Im taking my wife for her first time, but she can only shoot a buck. Stupid public land rules Fyi ... you can take does on public land with archery and ML. The public land I hunt only states no bonus antlerless. Guidelines state 2 deer for archery either buck and doe or 2 does. You may want to check further into regulations for the public land you hunt.

Im aware. She doesnt have any archery equipment. I hunt archery, she hunts firearms.

Another good night. I was in the stand and two bucks came out to the beans. I have never seen bucks in person on that property. They ate out to 60 yards. Never spooked. Even play sparred! A small fork horn and a decent urban 6 or 8 point. Small basket rack but I would take it.

In the words of Ricky Bobby...my heart was beating like a phone book in a dryer when those bucks walked out

Hot, hot, hot walk in to our stand. Not too bad now that we're finally set up and in the shade. Beans along this edge are still really green so hoping for the best.
