For the hunters using crossbows, what kind of bolts are you using? I have a Tenpoint stealth xlt and shoot the aluminum bolts from easton xx75-2219. Thats what I sighted in with so just stuck with them. Their inexpensive at about $25-30 for six and get plenty of downrange penatration at 440 grain with 100 grain broadhead. At 50 yards only have a 2inch drop off.

I shoot the TenPoint Pro Elite carbons. I prefer carbon over aluminum as the don't bend.
They are fitted with Omni-Brites nocks and tipped with 100 grain NAP Spitfires.
This is out of my TenPoint Stealth SS and my Horton RDX..

I've never shot anything but carbon. I've always used what has come with my xbow, I can't imagine that it would be a bad thing to switch. I'm guessing that it would be best to match length and weight, but I didn't know they made a 440 carbon bolt.
I use the same as Woody with my RDX. Can't go wrong following Woody's lead.

They will kill just as good as a carbon and if your already sighted in and shooting them like that, I would say your good to go, save yourself some cash |

Been using them going on four years now, killed about 12 deer or so with them with no problems. Used one bolt for 4 different deer one season.

I seem to have more fliers with carbons. I have a dozen Ten Point Pro Elites, and 3 of them shoot bad right out of the pack. Same with Cabelas brand arrows, 1 bad out of 6. Aluminum xx75 always shoot straight, just a little slower due to the increased weight. At 40yds, they are starting to lob in there.

I have seen a 405fps bow shoot and it is insane. I am too scared to have one wound that tight. Seems like more problems with the crazy fast bows. FWIW, 40yds would be my longest shot at a deer with my current set ups. |

FWIW, 40yds would be my longest shot at a deer with my current set ups. My wicked ridge invader is rated at 330fps. I would feel good about a 50yd shot. |

I think mine are carbon express. My bow is rated at 410 it's fast is all I know

My crossbow is a tenpoint stealth xlt, not sure what the speed is anymore. Seems fast to me, my compound is a Bear truth2 and now it seems slow after shooting the crossbow.
