I FINALLY started shooting my bow today. I walked outside and took 2 shots at 30 yards, made a slight adjustment, and came back inside. Tomorrow ill verify that and shoot at 20. At this rate I might shoot 10 arrows before October 1st Both were an inch low. I seem to remember leaving it that way last year, but I dont remember why.

Mostly just to get a feel for the trigger. I do like to take my target to my food plot and shoot from my stand. From what I've seen, you might be dead on from an elevated position.

With compound bows, you dont need to adjust your poa/poi to shoot from an elevated position, IF you remember to bend at your waist instead of dropping your arms.

I use a crossbow. However it works, I'll make final adjustments from my stand. I don't see how you do it and not practice with a compound bow; you're probably just a natural. I would never practice enough to point one at a live animal.

I would prefer to practice more, but time has been an issue lately. Im pretty confident inside 40 yards, if I were one of those guys on tv that takes 60 yard shots, I would be finding time.

Got my crossbow out Friday, shot from 30, 40 and 50 yards. 9 arrows, right on from last year.

I ordered a half dozen new arrows last night from the local archery shop.. I was down to four good arrows for hunting and only one for practicing. I will use these 5 for practicing and the new ones for hunting. It's the same carbon arrow so nothing to change. I did change to bright hot pink fletching.
