Had a neighbor complain last year about my deer butchering in the back yard, to the garage I go.
I plan on using a large screw in eyelet, screwed into a single beam.
Do you guys think that will be okay or should I use a 2x4 across 2 beams to disperse the load?

Couple 2x4 together across the rafters Over build it and you can use it to pull an engine

I've been using a hook screwed into a single 2x10 joist for years.
For what it's worth, I'd tell the neighbor to stick it.

I've hung two from a single eyelet screwed in the top beam of my screened porch.
You must live in a fancy neighborhood.
My neighbors don't seem to care what I do in my backyard ...well, they might if they could see me. LOL

Oh I would certainly think so, or one might not care what the neighbors thought. He's probably rich though and lives in one of those fancy places. I think I'm the only one on here who's not.

For what it's worth, I'd tell the neighbor to stick it. That approach right there is why they make ordinances .... SMH

and here they have the nerve to just have their clothes out on a clothesline blowing in the breeze. That being said there is nothing wrong with respectfully butchering your deer indoors instead of out, same as closing your tailgate or just keeping your kill put of plain site in general, the antis are crazy

Years ago I was skinning a buck that was hanging from a tree limb in the front yard of my rural home when a car drove past and a female voice yelled out, "MURDERER!!!" Lol!

But I have a wood burner in my garage so I had this made to hang from the joist and can use it on any 2 by lumber I like that. Makes me wonder why I didn't think of it.
