Being able to shoot slugs through my new gun might be a moot point. I heard that it is now legal to hunt private property with a 30 06. Clears my dilemma up if its so.

You can get a Savage bolt gun that is set up for turkey, smooth bore and accepts chokes. No sights, so you need a scope.

Benelli Nova 12 ga. with a Kicks super full choke and Tru Glo sights. Heavy but bad to the bone. Every turkey is dead right there

get the 870. I own 3 of them also. My main gun is 21 years old and functions like new. Mossbergs don't compare in quality and durability. I can't recall hearing anything bad about an 870 I own three 870s and I think it is the best pump gun going

From what I've read the 935 doesn't do slugs. I have also heard a lot of good things about the 870, which is the only shotgun I have ever used for deer. I may have to look into a new 870 for my gobbler action. Never hunted with a 20. Always hunted with a 12. The mossberg 935 will shoot slugs. Mossberg makes a slug barrel specifically for this gun. store.mossberg.com/product/269/935-magnum-slug-barrel-adj-rifle-sights-24I have a 935, although I do not use it for deer and have never bought the slug barrel for it either. For turkey, though, I don't think I'll ever buy another gun. It's my favorite and I've used a Remington 1100 & 870, a Mossberg 9200 and my 935 and it's my favorite gun of them all for spring gobblers. That being said, the 935 shooting 3.5 inch shells pack quite a punch. You'll have that with about any 3.5 inch gun though.
