Do normal people eat the prairie dogs? Sounds like a great trip with your dad and son. Just like schall53 said you don't want to touch them.....But Maybe with a stick or a bullet! The fleas that are on the prairie dogs are carrying the Plague bacteria. If the flea bites you then you may get the plague if they are carriers of the bacteria. The fleas that infested the rats in Europe were the cause of the plague that spread though-out Europe and killed thousands of people. But we didn't know about bacteria and disease or antibiotics back them.
