Wow, we got rain here, but supposed to snow this evening. I'm ready for spring! I washed donkey for the first time since hunting season started, so I should have expected this.

Yep, you guys up north were supposed to get pounded. Just started here in central IN. Looking for 3-5" and high winds. Seems like high winds (25-45 mph) are normal here. Had 1.5" of rain today before the snow. Creek is coming out of the banks. Fields are holding water.

After working at Purdue all day, it took me the better part of an hour just to get across town. Thought for a minute I might have to see if "dadfsr" had an extra cot. Once I hit Lebanon, no problem!

News is calling for 3 to 6 more in and they are betting on the 6 in mark. Think I will sit by the Woodburn er a little longer with a cup of coffie. Do not have to worry about freezing or getting stuck that way. Lol

It looks like in another hour or so it will be over with, then the cleanup starts. Roads are plowed here already. It's a really, really heavy snow.

I love the snow. Just wish it would stay for the winter time and then go for the spring and fall. We got about 12" here and I couldn't get in my driveway last night, at 1am, because all my trees were, are, bent over into the driveway with snow on them. So had to park up by the barn and walk to the house. It is really beautiful looking out. It will be gone in a few days.

This stuff weighs a ton I could just push enough of it to clear a pathway for my vehicles. The worst thing is the ground is not frozen so you got to be careful not to plow up all your gravel. Talked to a plow driver said some roads aren't open as of 12:00 noon.

Saw on the news tonight that LaPorte won the snow lotto with 17.2", Plymouth had 10.2", Knox had 7.5" Hmmm didn't seem like that much. I think that they measure it as it falls, and not after it's sat on the ground for "X" amount of time. I know I shoveled 5" and had another 7" on the steps after that. But how much of that was due to blowing off the roof I don't know. I went to a clients place yesterday, and I had snow coming up over the hood of the VW Jetta when I went down his driveway for most of the length of the drive. When I left I had to clean the snow out of the grills - they were packed tight. Many people think it's silly to put dedicated snow tires on for the winter, but when I need traction, I NEED traction. I also installed a Peloquin Torque Sensing Differental in it. It works great.

I also installed a Peloquin Torque Sensing Differental in it. It works great. What is the difference between this and standard and what kind of price. I have a vw jetta[/quote] I installed it 180,000 miles ago, so I don't know if the price that I paid would be relevant. I also did the install myself with the neighbors help. Or I helped him. Anyway we did it ourselves. www.peloquins.com/The peloquin senses which wheel has the MOST resistance to spinning and it sends the power to that wheel, not the one that spins the easiest. In dry weather, if you go into a corner hard, and step on it, you can actually feel the front end pull the car around the corner. The standard differential that is from the factory is an "open" diff, and whatever wheel has the least amount of traction is the one that gets all the power.
