It would appear that Rubio is now the "chosen" one.....
Let's see what happens with the number of commericals AND endorsements for Rubio.....

Rubio could very well be the most electable of the field....
Its very interesting the number of folks who turned out in Iowa to caucus. Record number for the republicans I believe. If that trend continues through the general it'll be like a mirror image of '08.

Yes, Iowa broke the record vote in a big way.
I don't think the Koch brothers will have to bring down Trump. I still will vote for Trump or any other conservative, or Libertarian in the field. I'm leaning Rubio's way.
Personally, I think Trump hurt himself by skipping the last debate, and even this is debatable. LOL The spoken reason was enough to take my focus off Trump. I think Trump has the abilities to make America great again, but there are a lot of factors and variables that are unclear how he might handle them. He's the devil we don't know.
For the most part, the Republican candidates who are in someone's pocket will decide issues in that favor. We have an idea how this will play out. Trump??? Who knows? No one gets to Trumps level without friends and enemies. How this impacts his decision making is an unknown to me.
I sure wish the debt would become a bigger issue with the candidates. If we don't get this under control, we'll have bigger issues than anything currently being discussed.

Trump will/is taking himself down. Not wasting time on him. I'm surprise there is talk for Rubio. Cruz supports all hunters and small government. I'm for Cruz. I'm tired of regulations and taxes.

We shall see....personally I don't see Cruz making it through. I think either Trump or Rubio has a pretty good shot though.

I like Cruz, but I really think Rubio will have a better chance of beating H ...if she makes it. In the end, this is my biggest concern.

I don't, establishment GOP candidates have a proven track record of loosing - a part of the GOP base stays home and they have no chance.

Both will prevail.

FWIW, here's what I think will happen*....
Cruz and Trump will implode. Cruz is apparently about as popular with his GOP colleagues as a persistent rash, Trump is Trump and the powers that be don't want either.
Rubio or Bush were the two that I thought realistically had a chance to get the nod from the party (and their donors). Bush isn't catching on, so Rubio now appears to be the chosen one.
Clinton and Sanders? What a choice. A man who is promising everything to everyone with no way of paying for any of it (especially with a Republican House and Senate) and Hillary Clinton who has 25 years of baggage and poor decisions following her @ every turn . Who wins? Who cares.....
Let's be frank. Based on history, it would appear to be the Republican's turn anyway. Rarely, do you see a party gain a third straight term as POTUS. It's especially tough when that party is following an unpopular President.
The trick is, Republican's will have to deliver...big time. Especially with the debt and deficit. If they don't, after the first two years, the Democrats will begin to make inroads to take over the House and/or Senate and gridlock will rule the day...once again.
*The only way I could see the Democrats winning is if Trump decides to play the independent card and splits the Republican vote. Would Trump try to do that? With Trump only time will tell.....

I wouldn't be surprise if there's another Dem candidate entering the race, not that it should matter, but...
I think Cruz and Trump will crumble and Rubio will be there to pick up the pieces. I could be wrong and usually am. LOL
If someone will pick up the debt as a running cause as Trump did immigration, I think they'll make a move up.

The Dems are not in a strong position however the GOP is pretty fractured as well and a RINO like Rubio is not going to pull it together. Historically it is the GOP's turn. I'm not so sure it's going to play out that way this time around, it has a different feel to it, like we are in uncharted waters. I don't see a strong candidate anywhere and the Dem's have been better about pulling together.

It makes me wonder how much of our country are like these people being interviewed. Fortunately, these people usually don't vote.

You can go to any college or university and ask them a basic history question. Like " Who won the Civil War? or Who did we secede from or what year? Most don't have a clue. Most don't know who their neighbor state is? It's really sad.

I dont think stupidity is anything new .... more and more yes but the percentage of the whole is stagnant. Even brilliant people sometimes vote for a candidate that I dont agree with or like.

Going in, I thought Rand and Cruz were too far right for most conservatives. It appears i was correct about Rand. Though Cruz isnt quite as extreme as Rand, I was still surprised to see him where he is. Im happy about it, if he doesnt blow through his money, he may knock Rubio off.

Rand isn't right wing....he is close to a libertarian.
