It doesn't sound like you are definitely putting this up for sale but just FYI there's no firearms sales on pro boards forums and your post may be removed. I don't know what they are worth but lots of guys like them.

We can't sell them here, but we can post a pretty photo. I really like mine, but it was free. Mine is .45. I think you should convert it to a 209 primer and keep it. You can buy the conversion here: www.warrencustomoutdoor.com/mag-spark.html

I think they vary greatly depending on barrel and overall condition

You don't have to prime a normal nipple. If you do, something's wrong.
In pristine condition (especially the bore) they bring 300 or so in average condition 200+/- and poor condition bore will get you 75ish

This is how I was instructed to fire it so that's just what I've done. I've only fired a handful of rounds out of it but I do know the gun is around 30 yrs old.

What's the serial number on it? If it starts with a k its a kit gun and worth less.......not worthless, just worth less

Shouldn't have to prime the nipple. Pour powder down barrel, seat patched ball or bullet, cap nipple and shoot. The only time you'd put powder in the nipple is if you dry balled(loaded ball without powder) or have a damp charge that won't fire

There is really no comparison in the two primers. You should enter the draw for the traditional muzzleloader hunt. I did find some pyrodex pellets for my .54; they can be hard to find.

I'm gonna try some Hornady great plains out of it with 90 gr of pyrodex. It's definitely fun to shoot and to see the look on my friends faces when we shoot it is priceless

When I started muzzleloading everyone wanted a TC Hawken. This was the rifle of choice back then. They are solidly built accurate rifles and still can get it done today. A friend of mine killed his biggest buck ever with a .54 Hawken and a patched round ball this year. Check Gunbroker to get an idea what they sell for.
