Who else wants to join my pity party? I'm hoping things change this weekend. Going out with the muzzle loader in the morning. It's probably been at least 20 years that I have have not put something in the freezer by now.

I have one doe taken during firearms, looking to fill remaining tags of the bundle license this weekend. I'll be out with the muzzleloader in the morning as well. Still undecided if I'll try some public ground vs the private ground. Depends on how much atv riding has been going on. Landowner had to advise the house renters to not be riding in the woods during deer season. Duh

Both my brothers, 2 hunting buddies and I are all deer-less at this point. We have had some opportunities at small bucks but nothing we wanted to punch our tag with. Since we've seen very few does (and significantly fewer deer than previous years), we haven't taken any shots at does yet - but haven't even had a handful of opportunities at them combined. Hopefully as ML season goes on and it gets colder we see more does herded up and then might put one in the truck. We've been hunting the same land in Jasper county for 22 years and this is the first time ever we've been deer less after firearms season. Hopefully someone makes it happen with the smoke pole soon. If not, I'll be out in late archery as well.

Not a pity party for me as I have enjoyed every moment in the Hoosier woods this year but I have not seen anything buck wise that I want to put my tag on yet and will be happy if all I end up with is buck tag soup. I did kill a nice 8 in IL so I am not totally empty in the kill column. Hang in there fellas and enjoy your time afield and remember that it can change in an instant!

Only shot one doe but am buck less by choice at this point. Have passed over 20 bucks and 4 in the 120 class range. Just not what I'm after these day's. My farm will be shut down after Sunday as we are reopening mineral sites and beginning supplemental feeding at 3 different sites. May hunt a little next couple weeks on a neighbor's farm if weather stays decent but pretty much laying out next year's game plan for food source's. Looking to drill 6-8 acre's of soybean's (Something new) and up corn to around 5-6 acre's , mixed in with some clover and alfalfa fields. Much work to do before spring.

I am. Not that unusual for me though, i was deer less last year too until the last morning of muzzy. Then i took a nice doe. Only difference was last year i was actually seeing deer, this year i have seen very few since bow season. Checked camera yesterday and did see an increase in deer activity over this week including 2 decent bucks so hoping things are a changing.

I am,if I had waited a few more minutes opening day I could have had a doe but that's how my luck goes. I'll be out in the morning though with the muzzle loader if everything goes right. Hopefully I can change things but it's not unusual for me to have "tag soup" at the end of the season.

I have been very blessed this year and filled the bundle and now need to fill the urban tag. I have had years past where I killed nothing and took it pretty hard. I have had to learn to enjoy the time in the woods away from the loving, wonderful but sometimes loud and headache causing family Enjoying alone time with God in a tree.

I know several guys that are. They all subscribe to the "I can always shoot a doe" theory. They are now crying in their whiskey and eating store bought meat. Not me! I usually put at least one doe in the freezer during archery and make judgement calls the first few days of gun season. By choice, this was the second gun season since 1992 that I did not shoot something. I just did not feel like dealing with the hassle and warmer weather. I'll be out tomorrow and hopefully the next few weekends. Numbers are good where I hunt and I have not reservations about taking one or two more.

Me, but I didn't kill one last year either. I'm not freaking out, if it works out it works out.

Just drove around the place I am planning on hunting in the morning and spot lighted the fields. Nothing around. That's going to make it hard to get up in the morning.

Me. Only chance I even sort of had was a 4 point who was about 40 yards away from me. Wasn't really interested in him due to his age and wouldn't have felt comfortable taking the shot anyway after a confidence shattering experience with my 12 gauge at the range the week before anyway.
No more chances for me this year so that's how it goes. Didn't get one last year either.

Would be skunked if it were not for a draw hunt. 2nd year no deer in archery for me. Also 2nd year no buck, so far. Yikes, I better get on the ball. Lol

I have not gotten a single deer this year, coyotes are my problem thanks to dog runners. Debating if I should buy a ML license or call it a year.

Got a Sister & Bother-in-law, who live in Mulberry, said his Cousin bagged a nice Doe during Archery Season up there. Down here, where I live, I've not seen that many Deer, due mainly to the unseasonable warm weather during rifle season. Went Squirrel Hunting yesterday morning and seen a Doe being chased by a Buck, also heard other Deer near where my ladder stand is located. I think they are just now moving more, at least down here.

I'm deerless by choice and wouldn't trade this season up to this point for anything. From this point on I want to pull the trigger on something
