Your main problem would be the feed. The vast majority of rabbit feed is alfalfa. I would say it would be next to impossible to raise in that type of environment. Then all the additives. Turning into pellet form. They can't just be given grass and expect to be a high quality rabbit.

so if you think of it this way it may help Where do you get the food for the rabbit? (The us) How much food does it take to raise said rabbit (quite a bit) How much does that food weigh? ( quite a bit) How much cheaper would it be to ship a 3 lb rabbit instead of a 15lb bag of rabbit food?.. $ is no object remember? Feed mill right next to the rabbit farm. When $ is no object, you find ways to get what you want the FASTEST; not the cheapest. I think you hit the nail on the head and answered your own question. The quickest way to said rabbit is buying a grown rabbit. It takes me from breeding to ready to leave 4 months. If you buy a shipment every for 3 months you are coming out ahead of the game.
