I was successful for McCormicks Creek Nov 16-17. I'll be at big oaks 14 & 15. I'll sleep for a week. Same here!

Hey, I also got Crane handicap hunt! I'm really excited about this, so they must have a helper for me. I'm sure that the helper will have a better idea of where to hunt. I'm not thinking this hunt counts against my deer bundle. Some Crane helper/guide is in for a treat! He's going to be stuck with me all day. He'll either have a blast or it will be the worst day of his life.

I have a question about McCormick's Creek hunt. I remember when applying it asked me if I needed help retrieving my deer and had a place to list a buddy.
At the time, I didn't realize this was a Monday, Tuesday hunt. My buddy will not be able to go on this one. Do any of you know if I can change my buddy for this hunt? If so, I know I owe someone a shot at it.

I would think they would assist you in retrieval since you are handicapped. I would call and talk with the park manager. "No substitutes will be accepted. If you are hunting with a buddy group and one or more of your party is not able to participate, the remaining members may still participate. DO NOT attempt to find a substitute."

The times I have hunted M.C. the guys came in with a Gator and hauled my deer right to my truck. The last year I hunted they took them back to the check station for me. There very helpful here when I have hunted. Good luck.

I could meet up with you and we could go in be fore hand. Depending on how far you can walk or where they let you park. I can probably put you on deer.

Hornzilla, that is the nicest thing one hunter can do for another. I would really appreciate it. I am not familiar with it, but have been there a couple times to take photo of the little waterfall. That's as far as I've been in there. I can make time whenever you are available. The information says that I have to park in designated areas, but I'll give them a call on Monday to see if they'll give me a break on this as long as I don't block access to anything. This should help cut down my walking distance. Thanks again!

Then we will get together and I will see if I can help you out. I have killed several in there over the years. In fact. This is the first time I haven't been drawn.
