Nothing around the couple ponds on our property in Switzerland Co. The big water source of the area (Indian Creek) is just off our property, though.

Nothing so far in Miami County. EHD seems to cycle through every fall in Indiana. Chicken little is always going to think the sky is falling lol.

Did some major walk through on the property in Washington County this weekend. No sign which is good news since we are surrounded by Austin Bottoms. I've never seen mosquitoes and noseeums swarming so thick!

Haven't ran in to any dead deer yet while working at the mines in Gibson, Pike, and Knox counties, just horse flies the size of humming birds.

The Decatur County cases that are blowing up all over Facebook by a certain page getting shared are from a deer farm owned by one of the big page supporters. If you read that farmers comments, he has seen EHD on his farm multiple times during this particular does lifespan. This is the same farm that wanted to release "excess animals" to help the wild deer herd genetics.

Nothing here in Switzerland County yet that I know of. From number of deer I am seeing I would say it is going to be a bumper crop. Seeing 40-60 deer on a daily basis right here at home.

A decent buck was found in a pond near my property about a week and a half ago in Fountain County. It was a suspected case. I believe the CO came and looked at it. Had all of the common symptoms. I haven't checked my property yet though.

I've got a dead deer on my pond bank, just discovered when mowing last evening. Been there quite a while, only bones and hide remaining, probably been there a couple months. I think it's unlikely to be EHD?

Being that long there I would lean against it being EHD. Impossible to say for sure though .....

From a FB page that has been reporting dead Deer...but NO confirmed cases of EHD!!
"Thank you for your concern for our wild deer herd in Indiana. I received the test results for the Parke County submittal from the lab last week. The Parke County submittal tested negative for EHD and Bluetongue. We did receive a call and were able to collect a sample from a deer in Tippecanoe County yesterday. It can take several weeks before we know the test results, but You are welcome to contact me for the results in a couple of weeks."

Seems that some folks are blaming every dead deer found on EHD. Don't matter if it is just a pile of bones and no cause of death could ever be confirmed...

Another post by the DFW was worded in a way that suggests they have tested more than one and all have been negative. It could just be the wording.....

Found 2 in Marshall county in a creek 50 yards from each other. Eyes were hemorrhaged. It's interesting most of the cases ive seen have been in high density deer areas. The two I found were on the property line between me and a neighbor who has artificially inflated the deer numbers for 30 years. Probably close to 100 deer per square mile in the immediate area. I've been seeing a lot of buzzards flying around. Makes me wonder how many are dead on the neighbors property Trophy Paradise Habitat Consulting "Trophies are built from the ground up" m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=852914431431752
