My plants are all but dead! I guess that they have been drowned out this year. Looks like I'll be buying tomatoes.

We've picked over a bushel of big ones and probably 3-4 gallons of cherry and yellow pears. Probably another 2 bushels by next week. I have one yellow pear plant that is over 7' tall.

Didn't put any out this year, but had two volunteers I allowed to grow. One is very stunted from being in a hole and retaining rainwater, but the other is full of green tomatoes. Should start getting ripe ones any day.

I only have two plants, and they are planted right next to the house. We caged AND staked them. The lower leaves are dying, but the upper story is good and healthy. It will remain to be seen how many tomatoes we actually get. maddog

Grankids have been eating the cherry tomatoes that we usually have in pots by the back deck for the last several weeks. Tomatoes in the garden should have some ready in the next couple of days.
Does anyone else ever prune their plants??? Found out a long time ago that once the fruit is starting to form the plants really don't need most of the leaf stems so we prune them off as soon as we have a chance...tomatoes will ripen faster/mor uniformly and also seem to be a little larger. Also makes it lot easier to find the occasional tomato horn worm!!!

I picked the first couple 2 weeks ago, but they haven't done much since. Have gotten 58 quarts of greenbeans off of 4 rows and have 6 rows that didn't produce hardly anything.

We are getting peppers, okra, eggplant, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and jalapenos but our big boy tomatoes are lagging. Just started getting dry here. They should be going into production mode

I have had tomatoes since first of June. When I go turkey hunting to bama on spring break I buy several plants. I then plant them in large containers when I get home. When it is warm I pull them outside. If it is going to get cold I pull them in garage. I have done this for years and usually have them by memorial day.
