It looks like this buck has an old wound from someone shooting him below the spine and above the vitals. What do you all think? Could be but you would be suprised at how meny holes get poked in them from fighting

Wow Huntandplumbn I have only seen 1 buck of the calabria in your pictures in 30 years of hunting. You are a luckey man to have have that kind of variety on your hunting ground.in the areas I have been allowed to hunt if you see a 120 in buck that is huge

Could be but you would be suprised at how meny holes get poked in them from fighting I hear you on that. Last year when walking to my stand in the dark I encountered 2 deer fighting almost straight under my stand. I could make out some of their silhouette in the dark and trust me when I say that they were both giant deer. All I could do is stand there 20 yards away was watch & listen. It literally sounded like two guys cracking wooden bats together as hard as you could. It lasted about a minute. Once I got down for the morning I realized that their was blood all over like I had shot one myself... Very cool experience.

I grew up hunting public ground so I know the struggles to see a mature deer.

So here goes. Bear with me as I don't post pictures much. Anyway, the plot was a lot of work since all my equipment is 1-manpower, but seems to be getting some good traffic. My camera was up for about 2 weeks on it before I pulled the card and I got around an hour of good video. Here are some of stills from some of the better videos. Reasonable 8 point Decent 9 point Bachelor Group (with same 9 point I think)

Sticking around a week later, though his bedding area (power line right of way) is being logged right now.

Pretty neat of pic of the little buck Becca shot last weekend with her bow AND her. Heres the buck offering a perfect 15yd chipshot but she couldn't stand and draw because the lead doe was directly in front of us out of the frame. You can see her in the upper right hand corner of the pic. I was there too but not skylined like she is. A few moments later he turned to follow the doe and her shot was in front of us. Got a pic of her starting to stand but not at full draw like I hoped.
