Had some good pics on the cameras yesterday. I use wild game innovations cameras and like the picture quality. Trying to get use to the "flextime" feature. Still on the fence about it. Have a nice 9 point that I wanted to get last year and his frame is looking almost identical as last year. I did recover one of his sheds this year. I'll post some pics later. Also have seen several turkey. Really hoping to get a fall bird this year!

My buck is getting bigger. He is trying to be a 5x7. We have his sheds from last year when he was a 5x6. Glad to see our kitty is still around. Looks like she has a mouse for a snack.

Daytime activity is nice to see. Hopefully he will get that seventh worked in there. And hopefully he keeps that shooting light movement going.

Last year I had probably over 100 pictures of that buck. Probably half were in the daytime. As soon as he shed his velvet he turned nocturnal until the rut heated up.

Hence the reason for maturity. He's smart but I hope you get the last photo of him with you behind him. Good luck.

Thanks. He will slip up one day and follow a doe in front of me or my Dad. I've been watching this guy grow for 3 seasons now. I think he is 4.5-5.5 years old. Last year a wide 8 pointer moved into the area right before the rut and seemed to push this buck out. It makes me wonder if he isn't much of a fighter.

We have ours out now after seeing a very large buck on our farm, anxious to see if we get some pics of him

Had some difficulties with cameras this year. When I changed out batteries I accidentally moved the camera down-ended up with hundreds of photos......of groundhogs and raccoons. [a href=" "]link[/a]

Checked my cams on my property today. Got several new bucks this time. No huge ones but some respectable ones. One is obscured behind a tree and I can't make out exactly how big he is but looks potentially nice. I also got a pretty nice 6 pointer that I would shoot in a heartbeat since I have a little "thing" for big 6 pointers and I have never shot one. Here is the 6. Here is the one I can't quite make out...what do you think? Here is a small one. The next two came by nose to tail, same time stamp. The first is a nice tall 8 point and the second is a smaller 8. Here is a neat pic of a handsome fawn. And, just for fun, here is a little bird flying right up your nose!

What a day. A friend and I have had 4 cameras out since April 1. I decided to go replace batteries today, and dragged my 7 and 9 year old girls along. Weeds were very high and thick, it was hot, poison ivy was everywhere, and the younger had a bathroom pit spot that...let's just say...did not go optimally. So I had them play in the creek while I looked for the cameras. Found the first one, downloaded the pics...and they were the same pics as last time! Yep, like an idiot, had somehow turned the thing off. So I went trekking after the second, and...exactly the same thing. Went up the steep hill and through a TON of wild raspberry thorns to find the last one. Wouldn't you know, a poison ivy vine had climbed the tree and was starting to go over the top of the strap holding the camera on. I'd had enough, so I just gingerly picked it up, threw it in the pack, and headed back down the hill. Of course, I missed my landmark and got started going the wrong way, and wasted 20-30 minutes wandering around until I climbed the hill again and re-oriented myself. Found my daughters happily playing in the creek still, to my relief. We got pizza on the way home, and they ultimately decided it was a good time! Luckily the 3rd cam had taken plenty of pics. 7000+ of them, in fact. I had it pretty low, and once the weeds got high, it was getting tripped by every breeze. But after wading through the pics, I ended up with 250+ decent ones. Because of all the wasted pics, I ran out of batteries at the end of May, so I'm not going to see how these bucks developed until closer to hunting season.

It's so weird to see how developed some of the bucks are already I see a handful on my way to and from work and they are growing but nowhere near ready I don't think Or they are all going to be little fellers

I'm not going to set my hopes high with this one because he's only passing through the property at night. I know the rut could change things for him but I'll have to see if he keeps coming back.

I didn't push my flash card in far enough on one. Another one isn't taking night photos, so I'll have to check it out next time. Thrilled that you had a good day out with your girls. It's all about the memories.
