I have missed this thread all summer! I camped there for squirrel hunting weekend 15ish years ago. Very nice camping. You guys will enhoy it.
I am having issues with back and hips. I really hope I am in recovery by then so I certainly won't go. Sounds fun.

I'm a complete "newbie", no equipment yet, interested in squirrel hunting. I may be able to attend for the day on Saturday, need to check work schedule, etc. Would be interested to learn a lot and this seems like an interesting opportunity that might provide some input/pointers.

TedCH Ted, I'm sure that these folks will welcome you with open arms. They are all EXPERT squirrel hunters, except maybe one or two.. You would get a lifetime of information in one day...

Excellent. Well, I've been a life long fisherman, plinked with bb and pellet guns in the 1970's, want to learn how to squirrel hunt (my choice is air rifles, but want to learn everything including cleaning) before I retire. Would be a great hobby to learn and great way to get into the woods and enjoy nature.

So, dates still weekend of September 18,19,20?
I think I can swing the 19th if that weekend is still solid.

TedCH Well, I might be able to make it Friday night too, but I'm not sure anyone wants a snoring SOB with a massive sleep apnea problem. I might scare em all off! I'll leave early on Saturday and try to get there early

Maddog, those little creeks don't look like they'd hurt too many cars unless you had rusted floor boards. From what I can tell, the GPS coords are about 39.3995557,-86.8564546 Looks easy enough to get there.

The creeks won't be a problem, unless we had a major flood right before going back there.

Well, awesome. I'm only 50 Jon, so I guess I'll get 3 years more experience on you as I get older? I'm looking forward to the outing. Been a long time. Had knee replacement surgery last year, so it's been YEARS since I've even been capable of going camping, hiking, going to anything remotely like this.
