I guess I will put this thread in here as it could pertain to hunting, my apologies woody if you think it should be put in some other forum. I had my camera setup just trying to pattern some deer movements and the last 2 pictures on it were a decent sized bobcat. I have some property, not much in south easter knox county just above petersburg. I have heard some rumors of a bobcat being down in that area, but I am a bit of a cynical person when it comes to those type of things. I captured him/her on 5/14 @ 2:52 am eastern time.
The cat was on a prominent deer trail and have a few pictures of rabbits shagging a$$ early in the morning as well. I know that they like to eat rabbit and have heard they will prey upon fawns as well. Just wanted to extend a heads up in the event someone does hunt down in that area as I've heard their home range can be pretty substantial depending upon the prey in the area.
Thanks and god bless

Bobcats are fairly common in that part of the state, especially Pike County, these days.

We are seeing more and more of them in Warrick County. I had one scare the peejabbers out of me one evening as I was walking out in the dark. Blood curdling scream... Or maybe it was one of those biped monsters Jon Snow keeps talking about. I know I had my hand on Mr. Kahr...

I would love to post photos, however they are pretty strict about what they do/don't let me view here at work. Sorry, I will attempt to find some other way to show you the photos.
